Mayfly, an ephemeral flight and Glimpse the universe, is a project where the common thread navigates between the need to conceptually create spaces of silence, understood as a way to escape from daily noise to establish areas of peace, and the search for ephemeral moments of absolute freedom, where nothing is and everything exists. For this I have used different techniques that show a language of textures and contrast. Working with the black and wrinkled metal sheet is the opposite of the technique of creating porcelain with an interior paper sheet, with the desire to find the thinnest and most translucent sheet that porcelain can give, finding the exact thickness that remains resistant but translucent and fragile.
As a result, pure white, delicate, light bodies that welcome the light, enter into dialogue and/or sometimes compete, embracing each other with lines and black volumes, to show how complex our life is between the land we inhabit and the dream to fly freely, even for a moment, as the Mayfly butterfly does.
