Brooch “Blossom”, 2024
Brass, Zircons, 12x5x3mm
Casting (lost wax process), Classical Jewelry Making Techniques, stone setting

From circumstances defined mostly by despair, anguish and darkness – small fragments of light emit. A source of hope still rooted in us, craving for a better future.

What seems to look like a dry-dying tree suddenly sprouts new blossoms.

As a base for the jewelry piece I used a recycled (lost wax process) brass « tree trunk » collected from a local foundry, to which I soldered small casted branches, gathered from a garden near my studio. To the ends of those I set small zirconia- representing new life.
