In the current state of the world, people hate each other and there are countries full of hatred. There are many reasons for this, whether it is religious differences or territorial disputes.

The conflicts cannot be solved by discussion, but by war. Many civilians have died and children are living in fear.

The images of conflict zones that are reported every day convey their deep despair.
I live in Japan, one of the most peaceful countries in the world.
We are not involved in wars and there is less crime than in other countries.

But if I were to say that there is no despair, I would say that everyone lives with their own problems.
Everyone tries to solve their problems in their own way and move forward in search of a new brightness.
In this situation, many forms of art can be said to be a means of searching for that brightness.
It is one of the ways to express one’s thoughts.

I created my artwork in the hope that I could express the image of a person trying his best to crawl out of the deep blue darkness.

Even though the light that can be seen from the darkness is faint, I wish that the person can crawl towards it from the depths of despair.
