« Beautiful is everything one looks at with love. » Christian Morgenstern

BROKEN BEAUTY, the exhibition proposed by ALLIAGES and curated by Juan Riusech.

« Beauty is subjective. Τhe superficial beauty can be altered through time. Inner beauty is eternal, makes wonders and lives forever. This 2 pieces are the 2 sides of beauty. They are made with a time difference of three years, based in the same idea. The one is the external and ephemeral, the other is the fountain of beauty, the base. Balance is the key between these two sides. » Deimezi Xenia

Julie Humez, a young French girl from Lille, is following in the footsteps of her idols Georges Méliès and Charlie Chaplin at just 18 years old. Passionate about cinema for several years, she embarked on film studies in Brussels. She shows us her film genre in her first released video, “Broken Beauty”. In this mini film, she seeks to denounce domestic violence while keeping the editing, decor and staging simple. It is a fixed frame with a plain and simple decor. As for the staging, Julie was careful not to go too far with the violence so as not to disturb sensitive souls.
