“It’s a cruel and random world, but the chaos is all so beautiful.” – Hiromu Arakawa

CHAOS is an exhibition proposed by Alliage and curated by Jorge Manilla & Juan Riusech. After being showed with success in our gallery in Lille, during Schmuck & Melting Point 2018, CHAOS will stop in two of the best jewellery galeries in Spain, La Galeller (Sevilla) and Lalabeyou (Madrid).

« La Galeller » from Sept 29th to Nov 9th (opening Friday Sept 28th). Calle siete revueltas 20, 41004 Sevilla
« Lalabeyou » from Nov 16th to Dec 12th (opening Thursday Nov 15th). Calle Farmacia 5, 28004 Madrid

« Chaos is a beautiful thing. The aesthetic of chaos can be seen in mathematics, in statistics, in philosophy, in politics, in anarchy, in geology, and in most aspects of our lives. Moving together with chaos, not eliminating it, can create spontaneity and surprise. Predicting chaos and celebrating it can lead us on a journey on new roads. » Izabella Petrut

« Chaos is a big part of our lives, yet we do everything to pretend it does not exist. I look at chaos as both poison and fertilizer, as the complete break down of things but also as the beginning of something new and fruitful. By embracing chaos and arriving at zero, new possibilities might arise. » Malene Kastalje

« The human spectrum of emotion is a bewildering thing to experience. This mess of feelings we hold inside our bodies, is it really necessary to have? If so, what else can we do, than to store them in our skin, our flesh, our memories. They make us, they kill us, and they give us joy. It is hard to show them to others. We keep them securely inside us, not wanting to feel the uncomfortableness of disappointment. But we want to share. Show hints of our own fragility, with a distorted and transparent exterior. You can look inside, if you have the same mess of course. » Olaf Tonnesland Hodne
