FRAGILITY

« … If this moment were innocent, time an angel, and the act fateful, I would have nothing more to confess than the silent harshness of words. In time, you do not choose the form of things; it is enough to feel its silent fragility and to yield. … »
Through this body of work, I explore the relationship between resilience and fragility, as two coexisting states that together shape the human experience. My artwork functions as an extension of the body that bears the traces of time, a body that endures the weight of memory, yet also carries the lightness of continuity. Wax, white and vulnerable, is juxtaposed with metal, capturing the decay and vulnerability of matter. This contrapuntal relationship between the two materials reveals the ongoing negotiation between appearance and essence, between the desire for inner balance and the acceptance of transience — or perhaps, the affirmation of human authenticity.
The work does not seek to transcend time, but rather to embody it, transmuting silence into an act of confession through matter itself.
